28mm Napoleonic French: Vistula Lancers

 

I've had these sitting around for a couple of years so it was high time I finished the regiment. These are Warlord Games figures and I'm not the greatest fan of their horses but nonetheless I'm happy to add this unit to my Napoleonic French army.

18mm SYW: Prussian DR8 Langermann Dragoons

Sometime between the WAS and SYW Prussian dragoons switched their coat colour from white to blue, the date of this change I'm unsure of. Furthermore the shade of blue if often shown as any shade between light blue and medium blue. Kronoskaf has an interesting article by a major contributor Ibrahim90 suggesting a much darker shade of blue.

I attach a picture (where I got it I'm not sure) of an actual Dragoon coat,either SYW era or even Napoleonic, that shows the colour I am aiming for, bearing in mind that certain liberties need to be taken the smaller the figures being painted.
