Here are the two battalions of SYW Prussian Fusilier
Regiment 40 in 40mm from Trident. As I have said before, pink is a tricky
colour to paint as it can come out pale and insipid. I followed the Menzel
illustrations shown above to get this more vibrant shade.
(Bottom picture) In the hills of Silesia Frederick has more
to worry about than just the Austrians. The sky is about to fall in,
football-sized hail-stones have crushed
all the plants, and a giant predator searches for lunch.
They look excellent! Even in pink!
ReplyDeleteDarrell.
Yes. Really nicely executed.

Very nice Nigel, we never use enough pink in wargaming, looks like a whole bottle was used for these!
ReplyDeleteIn XVIII Century Pink was the "male" color for excellence! Great job as ever, one of my favorite Prussian Fusilier units.
ReplyDeleteJust completed two French battalions with pink facings c.1792. But your unit takes the prize for the most 'pink'. They look great, thanks for posting, will certainly visit again to properly view previous entries. MGB
ReplyDeleteI've always liked this regiment, especially since all the pink really annoyed my regular Austrian opponent!
ReplyDeleteWonderfully painted regiment of the great Trident range - your grey-touched pink is very authentic. Bravo!
