This
is the second battalion of this strong regiment and the third follows
soon. That will conclude the line Russian infantry.

40mm WAS/SYW Austrian IR Prié-Turinetti (IR30) revamped
I
painted the second battalion way back in April 2012 so here is the
entire regiment ready to join the first brigade of Clerici's
division. This is a strong brigade of six battalions and will be
under the command of GM von Krottendorff (I have also seen his name
spelt as Kottendorff). The second brigade consists of the four
Hungarian battalions, painted but not yet rebased.
Note
the green flag. There was a great variety of flags in use in the WAS
and I plan to have as many different ones as I can track down.

28mm SYW Russian Observation Corps Grenadier Regiment 1st Battalion
Last
three battalions coming up soon – the three battalion Grenadier
Regiment, all super-large in size. The Observation Corps, 15
battalions strong with (eventually) a very large artillery
compliment, was really a whole army itself.

40mm WAS/SYW Austrian IR Daun
I
painted the second battalion of this regiment five years ago in April
2012 and now I have finished the first battalion and reduced the
number of figures slightly. See my previous post in April for the use
of violet as an Austrian facing colour.
Most
of the Austrian army is finished so this is just mopping up bits and
pieces.

28mm SYW Russian 5th Observation Corps Regiment
Here
is the the last Musketeer Regiment of the Observation Corps. I am now
working on the Grenadier Regiment of that Corps (3 more battalions)
and that will conclude the Russian infantry phase, although, at a
later stage, I will do some light infantry Pandours.
Figures
are mostly Front Rank with a few Foundry command for variety.

1st Carlist War: 2nd Guipuzcoan
This
is my best shot at the colour Garance which seems to have been very
popular in the 19th century, especially in Spain and
France.
Although
Perry make a number of less “uniform” chaps, I am making this
first brigade (the Guipuzcoans) as close to regular looking as
possible. The Navarrese, the second brigade, will be much more
irregular looking. I will shortly have bought all the figures for
this brigade (4 battalions, 2 squadrons, one battery and one general)
so progress is being made, if slowly.
In
the bottom picture you can see the difference between the two shades
of red.
