WAS: Spanish Belgica Dragoons
I had these lying around unused and decided to paint them as Spanish Dragoons. I'll probably do 5 or 6 regiments, each of two mounted squadrons and one dismounted, as the Spanish soldiers shipped across the Mediterranean from Barcelona to Naples went without their horses. They were forced to find Neapolitan replacements and that proved to be difficult. According to Manley, musicians favoured piebald horses too.
The figures are a mix of Foundry and Front Rank.
IR26 Meyerinck
A very fine Prussian regiment raised in 1714. As Kronoskaf puts it "The regiment was considered as one of the best units during the war.."
Figures are mostly from Crusader.

IR 36 Münchow Fusiliers
Another smart Prussian Fusilier regiment of the SYW. These have grey flags and I think that makes them unique.

IR 10 von Pannewitz
This is the first time I have painted this Prussian Musketeer regiment and I suspect it is because I was not sure how to paint the yellow of the trousers. There are a number of regiments that have straw breeches as well as other darker tones of sand but not many have a bright yellow that I would describe as similar to Swedish yellow - the egg-yoke yellow that the Swedes used for most of their foot.

IR18 Prinz von Preußen
Raised in 1698 this was a very fine hard-fighting Prussian regiment.
During the Seven Years' War, the regiment was commanded by:
- November 10 1742 to Dec 1758 - August Wilhelm Prince of Prussia
- from December 14 1758 to March 28 1790: Friedrich Wilhelm Prince of Prussia (King of Prussia from August 17, 1786)
